Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 October 2026
This policy explains what information is and is not collected when you use AdResize, who receives it, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to meet the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the ePrivacy rules on cookies, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Who is responsible
AdResize is run by Tanmay Upadhyay, an individual based in India who operates it as a personal project and not as a company ("we", "us"). Tanmay Upadhyay is the data controller for this website. You can reach us at itanmayupadhyay@gmail.com.
Your images
AdResize resizes images inside your browser. The file you choose is read by the page on your own device, the new sizes are drawn there, and the downloads are created there. Your images are not uploaded to our servers or to anyone else's, and we cannot see them.
- We do not store your images or the files generated from them.
- We do not put image data in cookies or in your browser's storage.
- Closing or reloading the tab removes everything from memory.
- Advertising and analytics providers have no access to your images or filenames.
Accounts and personal data
There are no accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address or payment details. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.
Advertising
AdResize is free to use and is funded by advertising provided by Google AdSense. Where ads are shown:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites.
- Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners show you ads based on those visits, limit how often you see an ad, and detect fraud.
- Google receives standard request data such as your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location and the page you are on.
You can turn off personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings, and from many other ad companies at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu. Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Consent and cookies
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, advertising and analytics cookies are used only after you agree in the consent message shown on your first visit. You can refuse, and the tool works exactly the same if you do. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by reopening the consent message or by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. The cookies involved are listed in our Cookie Policy.
Usage statistics
This site does not currently load an analytics script.
Hosting
Like any website, the service that hosts these pages may keep standard access logs (IP address, browser type and time of request) for a limited period, for security and reliability.
Why we are allowed to process this (legal bases)
- Consent, for advertising and analytics cookies and the data collected through them. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests, for hosting logs and security, and for replying to messages you send us.
Who receives data
We do not sell personal information for money. Data is shared only with the providers that make the site work: our hosting provider, and Google (Google Ireland Limited for visitors in Europe, Google LLC elsewhere) for advertising and, if enabled, analytics. Under some US state laws, letting an ad provider set cookies can count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You can opt out of that through the consent message or the advertising links above.
Transfers outside your country
The site is run from India, so emails you send us are read there. Google and our hosting provider may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the EEA, UK or Switzerland, the transfer relies on a recognised safeguard such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long data is kept
We keep no database of visitors. Hosting logs are deleted by the host on its normal schedule. Cookies expire as described in the Cookie Policy. Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- ask what personal data is held about you and receive a copy;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising;
- not be treated differently for using any of these rights;
- complain to your data protection authority, for example the one in the EU country where you live, or the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.
To use a right, email itanmayupadhyay@gmail.com. We answer within one month. Because we hold almost no data ourselves, requests about advertising data are usually best made to Google through the links above.
Children
AdResize is a tool for people who make advertisements. It is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
